Gardening in Harmony with Nature

Join me volunteering at Rising Treetops

2026 sees us continuing to work on the gardens and woodlands at Rising Treetops. As a volunteer and board member I am dedicated to sharing my love of nature and gardening with staff, visitors, board members. I would love you to join us in whatever way is possible.

Rising Treetops is always in need of volunteers to help out with a variety of projects and activities on our 15 acre campus in Oakhurst, Ocean Township, New Jersey. Volunteers, either as a group or as individuals, can start or maintain a camp project, such as improving and beautifying our campus through painting, cleaning or landscaping projects, or help with a seasonal project (i.e., holiday parties, summer camp theme days). In addition, individuals, ages 16 and up, can be volunteer activity counselors.

Volunteer activity counselors can gain valuable hands-on work experience by helping to plan, organize and help facilitate therapeutic recreational activities for our clients with special needs. For information on the details and process to become a volunteer activity counselor, please email volunteer@risingtreetops.org or call Charles Sutherland at 732.531.0215. Volunteer activity counselors ages 16 and older can work directly with clients in activities under the supervision of our trained staff.

If you are interested in volunteering individually or with a group on a project, please contact us at 732.531.0215 or email us at volunteer@risingtreetops.org. Prior to volunteering, you will need to sign, and if under age 18 also have a parent or guardian sign, our Volunteer Waiver Form.

We hope to see you in Oakhurst soon! https://risingtreetops.org/about/

Gardening in Harmony

We nurture gardens that thrive naturally, using native plants and organic soil care to create vibrant, wildlife-friendly spaces.
